From Wagrain along the Almenweg – Hiking Holidays in Austria
With Wagrain as your starting point, you will be able to tackle two separate stages of the Salzburger Almenweg. “Broad valley basins, rustic huts and meadows in bloom” – this is the name of one hiking tour. Around 17 kilometres in length, it takes about seven hours to reach your final destination, the Ellmaualm. "In the Footsteps of Karl Heinrich Waggerl and Joseph Mohr", you will be able to enjoy a five-hour hike along the second of the stages, taking you some twelve kilometres to the village of Kleinarl. And naturally, either stage can also be hiked in the reverse direction, meaning that your final destination will be your home-away-from-home in Wagrain.
